Description

Moisturising Day Cream is a light but luxurious emulsion for the care of dry, mature skin. It excells at restorative daily care and intensive moisturising while also reducing the appearance of wrinkles. All ingredients are naturally derived and from organic origin. Apricot kernel oil gives a good emollient base, while marula and baobab oils are specifically intended for the care of dry and mature skin. Rosehip oil contributes to active skin regeneration. Ceramides included help to improve skin’s barrier function. Vitamin F also helps them regenerate the skin. The emulsion includes immortelle, rose and lavender hydrosols and a wide selection of moisturising ingredients (glycerol, Sodium lactate, betaine). Both plant extracts, acmela and liftonin, are purposefully chosen as they perfectly complement each other in reducing the appearance of wrinkles. The moisturising cream also includes bisabolol – an ingredient with a soothing effect, as well as essential oils of immortelle, palmarosa and Roman chamomile, which give the cream a pleasantly floral, green scent.

Apply a pump or two of the product on a cleansed face in the morning and in the evening. Your skin will be significantly more moisturised and nourished. When used in combination with the Flower Moisturising Serum, it provides an even more intense skin hydration.

  • Apricot Oil – Apricot tree is a small tree that often grows in our gardens. The oil is extracted from the seed found in the kernel of the fruit. It is a versatile oil and is usually recommended for sensitive skin care and as an emollient ingredient in moisturising products.
  • Marula Oil – Marula is a tall African tree. The fruits contain the seeds from which the oil is extracted. It is a stable oil with high oleic acid content. It also contains many phytosterols and vitamin E. Traditionally it is used for the care of dry, cracked skin and is also ideal for mature skin. As an emollient, it increases skin moisture as it decreases transepidermal water loss and reduces the redness of the skin.
  • Baobab Oil – Baobab is a tall African savannah tree. The oil is extracted from the fruit seeds and is known for its particularly rich composition of phytosterol compounds. It is a versatile natural oil with emollient effects. It protects the skin from water loss, giving it suppleness and smoothness. Baobab oil is very suitable for the care of dry or mature skin with a damaged skin barrier function. The action of phytosterol compounds has two other beneficial effects, namely anti-inflammatory action and skin tissue repair.
  • Rosehip Oil – because of its high content of linoleic and alpha-linolenic acid, is an active oil for skin regeneration. It is considered to be one of the best choices for the care of inflamed and acne skin, as well as for the reduction of wrinkles of mature skin and for skin with pigment spots. Rosehip oil is emollient and absorbs quickly.
  • Ceramides are one of the youngest cosmetic ingredients. They help to improve the skin barrier function. They are the main intercellular lipids of the corneal layer of skin and are crucial for the proper arrangement of lipids into lamellae. They are used as skin care emollients for the care of the skin with damaged lipid barrier function.
  • Hydrosols of Immortelle, roses and lavender are suitable for the care of mature and sensitive skin.
  • Glycerol is obtained by hydrolysis of fats from natural oils. It counts among the most effective and commonly used moisturisers. Glycerol represents a hygroscopic molecule with a low molecular weight, which binds water from the deeper basal layer of the epidermis into the corneal layer and increases the moistness of this layer. It also preserves the physiological function of the lipid barrier.
  • Sodium lactate is the sodium lactic acid salt produced by the fermentation of sugar. It is a component of the natural moisturising factor. It is a powerful and effective moisturiser.
  • Acmella extract is an extract of the South African plant Spilanthes Acmella. For extraction, the flower buds of the plant are used. The plant is cultivated by local farmers without the use of pesticides and insecticides. The extract strengthens and smooths the skin on the face and body. Due to its myorelaxant action (relaxing muscles) it quickly reduces wrinkles. In its action it is thus similar to Botox, except that its action is reversible. Acmella extract therefore represents an ideal skin care extract for mature skin.
  • Liftonin is an active complex of silicon joints with millet and tannic acid from oak tree. It affects collagen production and improves skin structure or reduces the appearance of wrinkles.
  • Betaine is used as a moisturiser that does not have a sensory absorption on the skin (does not give a sticky feeling). It acts as an osmolyte and regulates the water level inside the cells. I chose Organic Certified Beet Sugar Betaine.
  • Vitamin F – consists of repeatedly unsaturated fatty acids that are extracted from saffron. Especially high is its proportion of linoleic acid. It nourishes and protects the skin. It is used to treat dry, wrinkled, burdened and sensitive skin, as it supports the skin in restoring and maintaining its natural structure and functionality.
  • Vitamin E – is a natural tocopherol that is obtained through isolation from natural oils. I added it to the products because of its antioxidant properties that it has on the skin (it nourishes the skin, helps to retain moisture in the skin or reduces water loss, promotes cellular regeneration and increases skin elasticity), while also acting as an antioxidant for all natural oils in the product. It is therefore a cosmetically active ingredient that focuses on antioxidant and restorative function, which is consistent with the purpose of nourishing mature and dry skin.
  • Bisabolol has a proven anti-inflammatory effect. It has also been discovered that it accelerates the penetration of other substances into the skin. Its soothing effect alleviates the symptoms of itching or tenderness, which are the results of dry skin.
  • Rosemary CO2 Extract – This is an extract made by supercritical carbon dioxide extraction. In addition to its excellent antioxidant properties, it has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial, as well as rejuvenating properties. It helps to increase the antioxidant properties of the product and prevents oil from going rancid.
  • Essential oils of Immortelle, Palmarose and Roman chamomile are intended for the care of mature, dry and sensitive skin.
